A Free, Natural, And Healthy Weight Loss
Ingredient
If you’ve ever read any information on the topic of weight
loss and healthy living, then it’s very likely you’ve come
across the idea of drinking more water to aid weight loss.
But do you really need to drink the recommended 8 glasses a
day to be healthy? In this article, we will examine some of the
claims and myths that surround the idea of drinking water to
aid weight loss.
Firstly, your body is very good at regulating water. It has
to be – because water makes up as much as 70% of our
body...
Have you ever noticed when you don’t drink enough, you don’t
visit the restroom as much? Or when you drink more you need to
go to the rest room a lot more?
This is one of the ways your body regulates your water
intake. This means it’s ok if you don’t always drink at least 8
glasses of water a day. You’re body can handle this.
However, it’s true that a lot of people don’t drink as much
as they should. It’s generally recommended that a person drinks
at least 1.5 litres (or 2.5 pints) as a minimum.
If you’re exercising regularly (which many people trying to
loose weight are doing) then it’s even more important to drink
plenty of water. It’s thought that we need to drink around half
a cup of water per every 100 calories we burn.
Some studies have also shown that drinking water can even
increase your metabolism (which is a good thing when you’re
losing weight). It is thought that drinking enough water can
increase calories burned by as much as 30% during an exercise
session.
In conclusion, while drinking more water isn’t going to
miraculously cause you to lose weight quickly – it does help to
increase your metabolism, which can only be a good thing. Also,
many people don’t drink enough water anyway, which causes
dehydration.
Being dehydrated while exercising (or in general) will slow
down weight loss – so it’s a good idea to make sure you drink
whenever you feel thirsty, and try to drink around 8 glasses of
liquids a day.
